A few days ago, Toyota unveiled the new Corolla Altis GR Sport model. As a facelift, the new Corolla Altis GR Sport mainly makes exterior changes and offers GR Sport-exclusive chassis tuning, and the power continues to come from the 1.8-liter hybrid system, but with a new battery system.

Inside, the new Corolla Altis GR Sport comes with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 9-inch center screen and a head-up display. The car also comes with red seat belts and GR logo on the steering wheel as well as details such as the start button, and red stitching treatment on the center console and seats.

Let's first look at the exterior design of the new car. The front part of the new car adopts a brand-new family-style design, with a prominently raised and broad hood, and angular lines at both ends to enhance the square visual effect. Next, looking at the side of the new car, the body shape is straight and square, a mainstream design in today's market. The door section has a prominent flaring waistline that runs through the body, with a concave lower section and prominent wheel arches, giving a good sense of thickness and three-dimensionality. In terms, the new car is 4950/5070 mm in length, with the low-specification Tu Jing version equipped with a fixed side step, 1976 mm in width, and the high-specification Ji Jing version is equipped with an electric side step, 1960 mm in width, the height of the body is 1930 mm for both, and the wheelbase is 2850 mm. The rear part still uses the side-opening design commonly used by tough off-road SUVs, with a full-size spare tire hanging in the center of the vertical tailgate, available with a bare tire or a spare tire cover design, allowing customers to choose according to different needs. There are physical buttons below the central control screen, which are smooth and convenient to operate, and there are multiple physical buttons and knobs around the gear lever, which can adjust seat heating/ventilation, driving mode, front and rear axle differential locks, low-speed four-wheel drive, tank turning, and other functions. To better meet everyone's camping needs, the trunk also has a 220V/400W power supply, which is suitable for outdoor camping and self-driving.
Finally, in terms of power, the second-generation Haval H9 Diesel is equipped with the GW4D24 2.4T diesel engine, with a maximum net power of 135 kW and a peak torque of 480 N·m. The transmission system is matched with a longitudinal 9-speed automatic transmission. In addition, the vehicle is also equipped with a silicone oil fan and BorgWarner TOD four-wheel-drive system. The Ji Jing version comes standard with a rear axle differential lock, and the entire series also offers an optional front axle differential lock. The interior design is somewhat conservative but uses high-quality materials. Soft materials are widely used in the dashboard, with stitching details added. An 8-inch floating screen is equipped in the center console, featuring smartphone mirroring functions that support CarPlay and Android Auto.

In terms of power, the 2025 Corolla Cross is available in both gasoline and hybrid versions. The gasoline version is powered by a 2.0L naturally aspirated engine, producing a maximum output of 171 horsepower and 205 Nm of torque, paired with a CVT transmission. The hybrid version uses a 2.0L hybrid power system, with a maximum output of 199 horsepower and a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 8 seconds, coupled with an E-CVT electronic continuously variable transmission.
