Leapmotor's vehicle lineup is known for its cost-effectiveness, with the current C series models performing well in their respective segments due to their competitive configurations and pricing. Earlier, Leapmotor announced a new model plan, introducing the lower-positioned B series models by 2025, with the first model B10 set to launch in March, potentially offering an even more extreme cost-performance ratio.
The Leapmotor B10 will be built on the latest LEAP3.5 technology platform, designed as a global model featuring an integrated smart electric drive system, CTC (Cell to Chassis) battery integration technology, and chassis tuning in collaboration with Maserati from the Stellantis Group.
The new car was officially unveiled at the Guangzhou Auto Show, and recent spy photos of its interior have been leaked online. The overall layout continues the trend of simplicity seen in new energy vehicles, featuring a large central control screen and a small LCD instrument panel. It is reported that the vehicle will also be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip + laser radar combination, aligning with Leapmotor's tradition of high-end configurations.
Spy photos reveal extensive use of soft leather upholstery, which looks visually appealing. Additionally, the center console adopts a through design with a relatively small armrest box, reducing costs while enhancing the spacious feel inside the cabin.
In terms of exterior design, the Leapmotor B10 takes a fresh approach, similar in style to the Lixiang L series models, appearing mild and attractive. The circular light group downplays the headlights on both sides, integrating with the lower split headlights and bumper.
The side and rear body lines are simple and clean, giving it a refreshing look. Large multi-spoke wheels add a touch of dynamism, and the gunmetal gray finish looks impressive. The rear features a full-length light bar, with "LEAPMOTOR" written below it.
The dimensions of the car are 4515/1885/1655mm, with a wheelbase of 2735mm, making it a standard compact SUV size but with a favorable wheelbase-to-length ratio, suggesting good internal space.
There is no further information on the powertrain yet, but it is likely to offer both pure electric and extended-range options like the C series models. Leapmotor continues to expand its cost-effective strategy, providing an excellent choice for many family users who can purchase a product with a close experience at a much lower price.
