Recently, official news from Volkswagen announced that the new Golf GTI will be officially launched soon. As a mid-cycle facelift model, the new car has undergone upgrades in both exterior and interior, while the powertrain retains the 2.0T engine.
In terms of exterior design, the new Golf GTI largely maintains the current model's look, with only minor adjustments to details. For instance, the front headlight cluster has been made more aggressive, and the front bumper features a penetrating design with a diamond-shaped grille, making the front fascia look more fierce compared to the current model.
The side profile remains the classic dynamic and compact shape of the Golf GTI, with a new set of five-spoke flower-style wheels paired with red brake calipers, adding a significant sporty touch to the side view. The rear changes are minimal, with upgrades primarily focused on the rear bumper and retaining the dual exhaust layout.
Inside, the new model is equipped with a sports steering wheel and sports seats, which still use a combination of materials and maintain a woven texture, creating a strong retro feel. The central control area features a 12.9-inch floating screen, replacing the current model's dual-screen design, and the floating screen is tilted towards the driver, further enhancing the overall sense of technology.
Regarding the powertrain, the new Golf GTI continues to be powered by a 2.0T engine, delivering a maximum of 220 horsepower and a peak torque of 350 N·m, mated to a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission.
