Toyota has unveiled the new Corolla Altis GR Sport model, a revised version that primarily focuses on exterior updates and features exclusive GR Sport chassis tuning. The powertrain retains the 1.8-liter hybrid system but with an all-new battery system.



Official images show significant changes to the front fascia of the new Corolla Altis GR Sport, with a redesigned front bumper featuring square-like air intake structures inspired by the GR Yaris and GR Corolla models. The right-side "GR" badge signifies its identity. The rear of the vehicle sports new transparent lens covers, connected taillights with a black trim strip, a black rear spoiler, and new 17-inch black alloy wheels.



Interior-wise, the new Corolla Altis GR Sport is equipped with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 9-inch infotainment screen, and a head-up display. It also features red seatbelts, GR badges on the steering wheel and start button, and red stitching on the console and seats.



Powering the new Corolla Altis GR Sport is the continued 1.8-liter hybrid system, now with a lithium-ion battery pack replacing the previous nickel-metal hydride battery pack. The vehicle also offers exclusive GR Sport chassis tuning, including specialized shock absorbers, springs, and a rear stabilizer bar.



As a classic compact car under Toyota, the Corolla has evolved to its twelfth generation and is marketed under different names in various regions, with "Corolla Altis" being used in Southeast Asia.

The 2025 Toyota Corolla Cross, similar to the Corolla Ruifang in China, features new color options and offers both a 2.0L gasoline engine and a 2.0L hybrid. Externally, it retains the current design with a trapezoidal grille, sharp headlights, and a sleek side profile with black wheel arches. The hybrid version has a larger, more dynamic grille. Inside, it uses high-quality soft materials with an 8-inch touchscreen supporting CarPlay and Android Auto, plus features like a branded sound system, panoramic sunroof, and wireless charging. The gasoline version has a 2.0L engine with 171 HP and 205 Nm torque, while the hybrid offers 199 HP and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 8 seconds.
