Introduction: With the development of the new energy sector, various types of vehicles including pure electric, plug-in hybrid, oil-electric hybrid, and extended-range power models have hit the market. Extended-range power vehicles have shown particular promise in the SUV segment, with the Ideal series standing out with its full extended-range power lineup. Following their impressive sales, the 2025 Voyah FREE has garnered considerable attention as a competitor. The 2025 model introduces two variants with a price range of 228,900 to 266,900 RMB. Compared to previous models, it offers a CLTC pure electric range of 318KM and a combined range of 1458KM. It comes standard with an L2-level assistance driving system, and some models are equipped with air suspension. These vehicles not only offer an affordable price point but also boast excellent configuration and range capabilities to meet diverse driving needs. Here's an overview.



The new model's exterior design features a solid and full front end with a raised hood and concave side contours, showcasing a strong muscular presence. The headlights are slender with a blackened design and intricate internal lighting, connected by a thin light strip to form a look that enhances visual width. The grille is a long, vertical design with a dark waterfall-style mesh that is quite appealing. The bumper section features prominent angular lines and sporty trim, complemented by a blackened grille, giving it a strong sporty vibe.



The side profile is also substantial, with a sliding roofline that adds to the vehicle's sporty look and large windows that provide an expansive view from within. The upward angular waistline design of the door section, combined with the concave lower door panels, create a sense of depth and dimension. The large blackened wheels with red brake calipers further emphasize the sporty character. The vehicle's dimensions are 4905mm in length, 1950mm in width, and 1645mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2960mm, positioning it as a mid-size SUV. For a 1.80m tall passenger, there is ample room to recline in the back seat with plenty of headroom, ensuring a comfortable ride.



The rear end is relatively simple, with an upturned spoiler on the roof and a large rear windshield that slopes downward, making the tailgate more prominent and full. Cut-through taillights in a smoked black color scheme, with internal lighting that resembles a fishbone, offering high recognition when illuminated. The bumper bottom features undulating angular lines, and the diffuser-like design conveys a strong sporty feel.



Inside, the dashboard is flat and houses a full LCD instrument cluster + central control screen + passenger screen, all three being 12.3-inch embedded screens in a continuous design, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, showcasing a strong sense of technology. The three-spoke multifunction steering wheel is wrapped in chrome material and, combined with the shift-by-wire design, is easy to operate. The armrest area has a large wireless charging panel and cup holders, which are convenient to use. In terms of safety features, it boasts an L2-level assistance driving system, rear cross-traffic alert, DOW open warning, active braking, lane-keeping assist, fatigue driving, and automatic parking. The generous use of soft materials also gives the interior a high-grade feel.



Finally, in terms of power, the new vehicle is equipped with a 1.5T extended-range powertrain, with the engine delivering a maximum power of 110kW and a peak torque of 220Nm, paired with a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor. The CLTC pure electric range is 318 kilometers, and it is matched with a single-speed electric transmission. The suspension features double-wishbone independent suspension at the front and a multi-link independent suspension at the rear. Thanks to the lack of engine noise and multi-layered sound insulation glass, the ride is quiet and comfortable. Additionally, it can be refueled quickly like a conventional fuel vehicle, giving it a clear advantage over its competitors.

On December 17, according to reports from CarExpert, BYD's Yuan UP all-electric SUV is set to hit the European market in early 2025 (next year). It is expected to be named "BYD ATTO 2." For reference, the BYD Yuan UP is available in the Chinese market starting at 96,800 yuan.



Initially, the vehicle will be produced in China for export to overseas markets, with plans to subsequently manufacture it in BYD's Hungary facility, which may reduce the overseas pricing.



The Yuan UP, which launched on March 26th of this year, is built on BYD's e-platform 3.0 and continues the brand's dragon face aesthetic design language. It features a large panoramic sunroof and rear seats that can be fully reclined to increase the trunk space.

The cabin is equipped with an 8.8-inch fully digital instrument cluster and a 12.8-inch floating touchscreen, with some physical buttons on the console for ease of operation. The electronic gear lever is adorned with a crystal knob, and the seats and door panels are covered in suede material, enhancing comfort and a sense of luxury.



In terms of specifications, the series models measure 4310x1830x1675 mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2620 mm. They are powered by a motor with a maximum output of 130kW and a peak torque of 290N·m, with a top speed of 160km/h. The vehicle features CTB (Cell to Body) technology, offering two range versions with CLTC pure electric ranges of 301 km and 401 km, respectively.
